ServicesFirst “no obligation” meeting How We Collaborate…. (after an initial phone visit) I share some of my story so that you can get to know me and have a sense of our rapport. I then interview each couple to learn about your individual and shared journeys. This interview enables me to weave into the ceremony your story and to personalize the service so it is a true celebration of your love and not simply a rigid ritual. Over the years I have developed a comprehensive planning booklet with a wide variety of materials for readings, vow and ring formula, and blessings that include traditional as well as contemporary options. You are not confined to those materials, but most couples find this a very helpful resource. You as a couple select materials that you feel are most appropriate and give the Ceremony the balance you prefer. As Officiant, I build on that theme in my own remarks
Second Meeting
This meeting takes place a few weeks before the Wedding and focuses on finalizing your choices. At this meeting you will bring your Marriage LIcense. I will take responsibility for completing the various forms and bringing it to the wedding ready for you both to sign. We also do a simple practice of the ceremony to give you a sense of the flow of the elements. At times I participate in a rehearsal prior to the wedding day, but often I simply arrive at the wedding site an hour in advance and we conduct a 5-10 minute rehearsal before guests arrive.
Wedding Day…
As mentioned above, I arrive an hour early and am available for a quick rehearsal. In the last half hour, I do a final review of the Bride and Groom spoken parts and coordinate on cues with whoever is providing the music. The ceremony typically runs 20-25 minutes. The license is then signed. (Party, party, party!!!)
